Driver Cancellation Policy

Cancelling a confirmed trip or booking can leave passengers stranded and impact the quality and reputation of the Poparide community. Due to this, we enforce strict policies for driver cancellations.

How to cancel a trip or booking

Drivers can cancel a trip or an individual passenger’s booking directly from our website or app by going to Trip settings > Cancel trip.

During the cancellation process, you’ll need to:

  • Provide a reason for cancelling

  • Write a message to your passengers explaining the cancellation

What happens when you cancel

When you cancel a trip or booking:

  • The passenger(s) will receive a 100% refund, including our booking fee

  • A cancellation review will be added to your profile, visible to other members

  • An issue will be raised with our team to assess your reason for cancelling and determine whether the cancellation counts towards your allowance (more details below)

Cancellation allowance

To maintain fairness in our community, drivers are allowed only one cancellation of a trip with approved passengers or an approved booking within any 6-month period.

  • If you cancel another trip or booking within the same 6-month period, your account may be suspended if we determine that you are at fault.

  • We may also suspend your account at any time if your cancellations are creating a negative experience for other Poparide members.

Preventing cancellations

You can avoid cancelling trips by:

  • Only posting a trip if you’re 100% certain you’ll be driving that day

  • Approving passengers who match your intended departure time, pick-up, and drop-off locations.

  • Avoiding posting speculative trips, as this could lead to the suspension of your account
