If a driver has a trip with confirmed passengers and does not show up as scheduled, this driver no-show policy applies.
When a driver is a no-show
When a no-show is reported, the Poparide team investigates the situation to gather more details. The possible outcomes of that investigation are:
No-show unverified or mistaken: If the no-show cannot be verified or was reported by mistake, it is rejected and does not affect the driver’s account. In this case, no refund is granted to the passenger.
No-show verified, driver not at fault: If the no-show is verified but the driver is found not at fault (e.g., due to extreme weather or a major incident), a full refund is issued to the passenger, and the no-show is rejected so it does not affect the driver’s account.
No-show verified, driver at fault: If the no-show is verified and the driver is found at fault (e.g., the driver forgot to pick someone up or simply didn’t show up), a full refund is issued to the passengers, and a no-show review is added to the driver’s profile.
Repeated no-shows for drivers
Repeated no-shows can lead to the suspension of a driver’s account, as we prioritize a reliable experience for everyone in the Poparide community.
Preventing no-shows for drivers
No-shows are serious because they can leave passengers stranded and harm the reputation of the Poparide community. You can prevent no-shows by:
Allowing plenty of time to pick up all your passengers
Cancelling a trip well in advance if you can no longer make the journey
