Once you find a trip you’d like to join, select the booking option provided by the driver: Request to book or Instant book.
Request to book
If the ‘Request to book’ option appears, this indicates the driver will review your request and manually approve or decline it.
Here’s how to Request to book:
- Click on the ‘Request to book’ button on the trip
- Select how many seats you are booking and include a message to the driver
- Select the expiry time for your booking
- Enter your payment details or select an existing payment method
- Click the ‘Request to book’ button
Once you’ve submitted your Request to book, the driver will be notified and must reply to your request within the expiry time you’ve specified.
If the driver approves your booking request, you’ll receive a notification that summarizes your trip's details and provides you with the driver’s phone number.
If the driver declines your booking request (or it expires because the driver didn't respond in time), you’ll be issued a full refund and you can book a trip with another driver.
Instant book
If the ‘Instant book’ option appears, it indicates that your request will be automatically approved as soon as you submit it without having the driver to manually review and approve it.
Before you Instant book on a trip, make sure you check the trip details as Instant bookings are final and subject to our cancellation policy.
Here’s how to Instant book:
- Click on the ‘Instant book’ button on the trip
- Select how many seats you are booking and include a message to the driver
- Enter your payment details or select an existing payment method
- Click the ‘Instant book’ button
Once completed, you are automatically approved on the trip and the driver’s phone number is immediately available to you.
Inquiries
If you need to discuss trip details before booking, you can send the driver an inquiry. Make sure you check the trip's details before contacting the driver, including pickup/drop-off locations and time of departure.
Note that an inquiry does not constitute a booking with the driver, and that you'll have to make a booking and pay online to be considered booked on a trip.
Re-booking
If you realize you made a mistake after booking a trip and need to make changes, such as adding more seats to your booking or booking the wrong trip, you can withdraw your booking at no charge and re-book as long as the driver has not accepted your request.
Here’s how to re-book a trip:
- If your booking has not yet been approved by the driver, you can withdraw your booking.
- Once completed, you can then re-book on the same or a different trip.
