Reporting abuse, bad behaviour, or scams
Updated over 2 months ago

At Poparide, the safety and well-being of our community are top priorities. Reporting any behaviour that goes against our Community Agreement helps us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Your reports allow us to take swift and appropriate action when necessary.

How to report a member

If you experience or witness bad behaviour, abuse, or scams, you can easily report the member through our app.

Reporting from a member’s profile:

  1. Open the Poparide app and navigate to the member’s profile you wish to report.

  2. In the top right corner of their profile, select Report.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your report.

Reporting a flagged message:

When exchanging messages with another member, our system may flag inappropriate messages based on our community guidelines.

  1. Select on the flagged message.

  2. At the bottom, select Report.

  3. Provide as much detail as possible to help us understand the situation.

What happens when bad behaviour is reported?

  • Recorded in our system: Once you submit a report, it is recorded and linked to the reported member. This helps our team keep track of any past issues associated with the member.

  • Automated suspensions: Our automated system reviews reports, and members repeatedly reported are flagged and, in some cases, blocked from using our platform.

  • Reviewed by our staff: Our Support Team will review reports made against a member, allowing us to make informed decisions and take appropriate action.

Tips for reporting:

  • Be specific: The more details you provide, the better we can assess and respond to the issue. Include all relevant information about the behaviour or situation.

  • Keep your app updated: Ensure you’re using the latest version of the Poparide app to access the latest reporting features.

By reporting incidents, you help us protect the community so everyone can enjoy a positive carpooling experience.
