How we keep you safe
Updated over a month ago

At Poparide, your safety is our #1 priority. We have several measures in place to ensure all members have a secure and trustworthy experience. Our Support Team is available 7 days a week to respond to any safety inquiries and to monitor platform activity.

How we ensure your safety

  • All members are required to provide accurate information when joining Poparide, including their first and last name, a profile picture that clearly shows their face, a phone number, and a profile description.

  • Drivers must verify their driver’s license using a biometric check before driving people on Poparide. This guarantees they are fully authorized to drive and contributes to the safety of our community. More info

  • Passengers pay online using a payment card, and all transactions are securely recorded.

  • Drivers receive their payouts online by linking their bank or PayPal account to Poparide.

  • Drivers can add their vehicle details, including the license plate number, to their Poparide profile.

  • After each trip, members are encouraged to leave reviews and provide feedback on their experience, including reporting any inappropriate behaviour.

  • Our reporting system allows members to flag inappropriate behaviour, and will block accounts of those found repeatedly engaging in such behaviour.

  • We have algorithms in place to detect spam, fraud, and suspicious activity.

  • Poparide enforces strict community guidelines and we have zero tolerance for abuse. We will suspend any members who do not comply with these rules.

Guidelines before booking with another member

  • Review their profile and check the reviews they’ve received from other members.

  • Feel free to message them and directly confirm any missing information.

  • For extra peace of mind, share their profile information and phone number with a friend or family member before your trip.

If you feel unsafe during a trip

  • Drivers are expected to follow all road safety rules. It's OK to ask the driver to slow down or drive more cautiously if needed.

  • Passengers are expected to be respectful, courteous, and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you feel unsafe, you can refuse a passenger entry to your vehicle.

  • If you experience any unsafe behaviour, please report it to our team through the member’s profile or our support channels.

  • In case of an emergency, contact the police by calling 911.

We aim to keep Poparide a safe and enjoyable space for everyone. If you ever have concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at [email protected].
