At Poparide, we care about the health and comfort of all members of our community. Since carpooling involves sharing a confined space for extended periods of time, we encourage both drivers and passengers to be mindful of their health and considerate of others when travelling.
Travelling when you’re sick
If you’re experiencing symptoms of an infectious illness (such as coughing, sneezing, or fever), we ask that you avoid carpooling until you’re feeling better. While Poparide does not screen members for health conditions, we expect all members to act responsibly and with empathy toward others.
If you’ve already booked a trip but start feeling unwell, please cancel your seat as early as possible to give the driver time to adjust their plans. You can refer to our Passenger Cancellation Policy for more details.
Hygiene and courtesy
Maintaining basic hygiene, such as covering your mouth when coughing or sneezing and using hand sanitizer, helps create a positive and respectful shared space. We recommend all members follow these basic practices while travelling.
Driver discretion
Drivers are under no obligation to accept passengers they feel uncomfortable travelling with. If a driver notices visible signs of illness and feels concerned, they may choose not to proceed with the trip. We ask that all members approach these situations with mutual respect and understanding.
