My trip was scheduled for 6:30am and by the time I went to bed, there was no booking, so I was taking it easy in the morning. I usually check my phone when I wake up (bad habit, I know) and there was nothing and I usually put the phone away. Luckily, I checked my phone again to find a last minute booking. It would have been bad for me and for the passenger.
Granted, my trips are usually "instant book" and granted, it is my responsibility to keep a watchful eye on the status of the trip, but people are not always as vigilant as they should be. Also, phone batteries die, or they crash, or get stowed away in a pocket, etc.
I later discovered the option to manually close the trip, but I am suggesting that while posting the trip, have the option to preset a closing time of the day, or a number of hours and minutes prior to the actual trip.
