Hey Tyler, thanks for providing your feedback on timing. It's a tricky one, as it's hard for us to make adjustments to timing based on traffic, seasonality and other factors. Also, changing the departure times of segments manually would be challenging, as it would affect all the following segments, and would need to be done within reasonable bounds.

I recommend using the trip description and messaging features to let passengers know if there are any unexpected delays due to road conditions, as they will generally understand that times are approximate. That's what I usually do when I drive to Whistler and pick-up in Squamish: I let passengers in Squamish know that my arrival time is traffic dependent.

Hi guys - any chance you could look at ways to handle this issue? I don't understand how the segment estimates can be so far out! Google has the driving time from Lake Louise to Canmore as 50 minutes. Poparide has it at 1h15m for me. That's a 50% overestimation and is causing problems.

I've already posted warnings in both my profile and in each trip that pick-up times for segments will be 15-20 minutes earlier than what is posted, but passengers aren't reading these.

Today we arrived in Canmore 20 minutes before the Poparide estimated time (even after picking up 3 passengers in Banff) and ended up waiting 40 minutes for the last passenger in Canmore.  This is the second time I've had an extended wait in Canmore this week. :(

If the estimated times for Poparide don't match realistic driving times (or Google Maps estimates), I agree with Tyler here -drivers should be able to be able to customize segment times (at least at the time of posting trips). If this isn't possible, how about flagging trips auto-created using "via" letting passengers know that "via" pick-up time is APPROXIMATE and that it is important to confirm with the driver.

For now I'll message anyone who books earlier to let them know that pick-up will be earlier. I'm also considering just pulling Canmore as a "via" since at least 1/2 of the pickups there are causing issues.
