Hey Tyler, we're actually looking into revising our pricing in the next few weeks - can you give us a bit more info on where you're driving, what vehicle you have, etc.

A good example is my regular trips from Squamish to Vancouver. Costs me $25-$30 in fuel, and I only have 1 seat. Driving a big cargo van. The $$ caps right now are more geared towards small fuel efficient vehicles, which of course not everyone has the luxury of owning.

Hey Tyler, thanks for sharing the info. We're looking at opening up pricing more in the next little while, so we'll add your feedback to our product log.

With regards to your particular case and the vehicle you are driving, I realize our service isn't ideal, as it's tuned for drivers with regular vehicles and lower gas costs. That said, we're not sure you'd be able to get booking for $25-30 on that route, as the going price is closer to $10.

Can you confirm if it costs you $25-30 one-way or return?

Yeah, ironically thats the main reason I rideshare, to reduce the cost of fuel, which for me is higher than most - necessitating ridesharing. I'm not looking for a booking of $25-$30. I think around $15 or $20 would be reasonable. Like I stated earlier, if I post on the FB pages, people will offer me $15-$20 (I never get offered less than that), and I never mention specific numbers to those people, that's just what they offer. I actually rejected an offer on poparide earlier this week for $5. Because its just not worth my time and hassle to pick up and drop off a person at different locations for $5. I'll spend $5 in fuel just navigating to the spots they want to be picked up/dropped off at! so I rejected him, and instead searched for a different person on the fb pages.

On the same vein, allowing higher caps makes dealing with the ferry easier. I’d rather build in the cost of the how much I’d like to recoup from the ferry ticket and be fully transparent than have to negotiate. One of the main reasons why I don’t post rides to the Island is that I’ve had bad experiences in the past trying to get a fair amount to help cover the car ticket cost from passengers

I hope this changes, as I am trying to find ferry transportation options that work to replace greyhound options going from Victoria to Chilliwack regularly. If it does, and you are going close-ish to where I am going please shoot me a message Evan.
