Safety is our #1 priority at Poparide. We have several measures in place to ensure the safety of all our members.
Measures to ensure your safety
- All members are required to provide accurate information about themselves when joining Poparide, including first name, last name, a profile description, a phone number and a picture that clearly shows their face
- Passengers pay online using a payment card and we keep a record of all transactions on file
- Drivers are paid online by linking their bank account or PayPal account to Poparide
- Drivers can enter their vehicle details on Poparide, including their licence plate number
- Members can verify their ID on Poparide, which adds a verified badge to their profile
- Members review each other after each trip and are encouraged to provide feedback and report bad behaviour to Poparide
- We have checks in place to detect spam, fraud and other suspicious activity
- We have strict community guidelines and policies against abuse and will suspend members who do not comply with our policies
Before you book with another member
- Check their profile to see the reviews they've received from other members
- Send them a message to ask them to verify their ID with our team
- Share their profile information and phone number with a friend or family member
If you feel unsafe during a trip
- Drivers are expected to follow the rules of the road and it's OK to ask them to slow down and drive more carefully
- Passengers are expected to be respectful and courteous, and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It's your right to refuse a passenger entry to your vehicle if you feel unsafe.
