If your Booking Request is declined by the driver or expires without a response, your card is not charged.
Occasionally, you may see a refunded charge after a Booking Request is declined or expires as some financial institutions collect charges immediately.
Most card providers will place a temporary authorization when you make a Booking Request. If your Booking Request is approved, the authorization turns into a charge on your card.
If the Booking Request is declined or expires, you’ll see the authorization released from your card. This process may take 5 - 10 business days.
If your card is charged
Some card providers require that the full amount is charged at the time of payment. If your Booking Request is approved, the charge remains and your booking is approved.
If the Booking Request is declined or expires, a refund is placed on your card. Depending on the processing time of your bank, the refund may take up to 10 calendar days to process.
