There are two key differences between Poparide and Uber:
- Uber drivers are employed by Uber and earn a wage to drive people on demand. Poparide drivers fill empty seats in their cars on existing journeys to cover the costs of their trip, and they are already driving somewhere.
- Uber operates inside the city in real-time, much like a taxi. Poparide helps people organize medium to long-distance trips between cities, usually a few days in advance.
For more information about this, please refer to our article titled "Uber and Lyft are not ridesharing" here: https://www.poparide.com/blog/ridesharing-vs-ridehailing/
Tip: you can use Uber to get to the pickup location for your Poparide trip, or to get home from your Poparide drop-off location.
