When passengers make a Booking Request on your trip, they pre-pay with their credit card to show their interest in joining your trip.
You have 24 hours to reply to the Booking Request before it expires. Passengers appreciate a prompt response from drivers when organizing their travels.
24 hour expiry for Booking Requests
When a passenger makes a Booking Request, it is valid for 24 hours. This is to ensure you respond quickly to their Booking Request and give them enough time to arrange alternative travel plans.
After 24 hours, if you haven’t responded to a Booking Request, it automatically expires. If the Booking Request expires, you can still ask passengers to place another Booking Request.
Approving Booking Requests
Once you approve a Booking Request, we collect the payment from the passenger. This payment consists of the price per seat plus our 15% booking fee. You do not incur any fees for approving a booking as a driver.
We send you a confirmation email and SMS text message with the passenger's phone number and details of their payment. You can then contact them directly by phone to sort out any outstanding details.
After a trip is completed, we will send you a payout for your earnings. More info
Declining Booking Requests
If you decide to decline a passenger's Booking Request, the passenger's payment authorization is released.
Cancelling a booking
If you decide to cancel a passenger's booking that has been approved, the passenger's payment is refunded.
Passengers can place another Booking Request on your trip if a mistake was made.
