All payments are always made through the Poparide platform, and we will never ask you to pay for a booking outside the Poparide app or website.
Paying through Poparide's secure platform ensures your safety and the security of the payments you make while booking and protects you from fraud, scams, and phishing.
How to identify a scam
In most cases, a scammer will ask you to message them outside our platform through SMS or WhatsApp, and then send you a link for you to collect payment outside of Poparide, in an attempt to defraud you.
In this event, please reject their offer to communicate outside our platform and contact us immediately to report the scammer; we will review their account and block it if we confirm they are trying to scam our members.
Check the website address and design
A legitimate Poparide link will always use a secure URL (https://) and include our website's name (https://www.poparide.com).
A scammer may use a different link such as https://poparide.pay-now.com instead of https://www.poparide.com. Pay attention to the subtle difference of using extra words in the link, and if in doubt, please report a suspicious URL here.
If you end up on a website that looks like Poparide but has a slightly different look and feel or is asking for additional details like your banking information, it's likely that a phishing attempt is being made on you. Make sure to go back to the Poparide app or website and use the official booking system.
