Stripe, our third-party payout provider, abides by strict KYC (Know Your Consumer) government regulations which require all drivers to verify their identity to receive payouts in their bank accounts, for security reasons, to prevent fraud and money laundering.

As a result, you will have to provide Stripe with identity verification details, including:

Please note that the Stripe verification is a separate process from the Driver’s license verification process, and needs to be completed as an additional step.

The information you provide Stripe must match exactly with your ID and your bank statements.

The name, address, and date of birth on your ID must match exactly with the details in your bank account, or the Stripe verification will fail.

We recommend logging into your online banking before getting verified to write down the address listed in your bank account, so it matches exactly the address you will enter in Stripe.

Here is a step-by-step guide to getting your bank account verified with Stripe.

Log in to the Poparide app and navigate to the Account tab > Driver payouts > Tap on More info in the blue box, leading you to the Stripe onboarding page.

In the Personal details section, select Edit and make sure that your personal details are entered correctly, then select Submit.

Note that your address must match exactly the one on your ID and your bank account. We recommend checking your bank account to ensure your address is up to date and matches the one on your ID.

Select the Liveness verification option to verify your identity, then tap on Verify with photo ID.

You will then be prompted to take a photo of the front and back of your ID. We strongly recommend using your driver’s license to verify your identity, as this will expedite the ID verification process.

If you’re having trouble using Stripe's Automatic capture feature, we recommend using the Manual option or Select a file to upload your ID directly from your phone.

Once you’ve verified your ID, you’ll be prompted to verify yourself with a live selfie in Stripe.

Make sure that you are in a well-lit environment and that your face is visible when you take the selfie.

Once your identity is verified with Stripe, you will see your information on the screen and you will need to tap on the Confirm button.

You will then be sent back to the Poparide app.
